Trees, Bees, and Vaccines

We have had a truly beautiful summer and fall this year. The most temperate that I can remember. We took a trip to the apple orchard and picked some apples. I baked my first apple pie, maybe ever, definitely my first pie in years. It was an awesome pie. Thank you Grandma Opal on Allrecipes.com. Anyway the girls had tons of fun picking them

Siene has really transformed this week. She has been much less cranky, smiles and coos a lot and is growing very, very well. She had her check up and got 5 shots and an oral vaccine. NO FUN! Nature decided that I needed to feel the pain Siene was feeling. So when we got back out to the van, a bee was hiding in the door handle and stung my pinkie finger. My first bee sting ever. I never saw the bee, but wow was that painful and a little scary. My whole finger was swollen. NO FUN! Siene I feel your pain!
