The most exciting news of the week is that we started potty training Samara. So far it has been exactly opposite of how it went when I trained Jade. It's going great! She is excited about it so far. She goes occasionally on her own and she goes at least 10 times a day. I am so relieved that it is going this well. We are all so proud of her! Unfortunately, she is so desperate to see the pictures, I cannot get her to stand still long enough to get a good one.

It is "the most wonderful time of year," in daddy's opinion, and we all get to watch as much football as daddy wants. At least we get to cuddle with daddy while we watch. When the Iowa State Cyclones score, they get candy. Our brainwashing begins early.

Jade had a few good one liners this week. She wanted to play a Dora
Candy Land game and announced, "I'm going to win. That's how I roll," while doing the wheels on the bus hand motions. She is also preoccupied with princesses and that "First kiss of true love." Which we all get, frequently. Hopefully the phase ends before any boys start coming around....

We don't have experience with the 'first kiss/princess phase' yet since Abby is too little, but, Joey (4 1/2 yrs old) did tell Matt and I a few weeks ago that he dreams about his future wife! That blew us away. I asked if she was pretty (LOL - stupid question, I know) and he looked at me like I was crazy and said, "Yes!" Aren't children great?!?! -Sarah
